News - Bicycle helmets compulsory for children up to 16 years


In Spain's state official gazette, the Boletín Oficial Del Estado, a new traffic-law was published that will step in strength in one month.

From 9 May 2014, all children and adolescents under the age of 16 must wear a helmet when riding a bicycle,
in the city too.

In addition, illegal drugs is punishable by 1,000 euros for driving under the influence.

, there is a hefty fine of 1,000 euros if the driver adduced twice the maximum allowable blood alcohol level or this is repeated within one year.

The penalty in the amount of 500 euros in the remaining cases will be maintained.

Also starting May 9, 2014, f
ast drivers who are flashed be punished with 200 euros and 3 points on the driving license.
